Sombras is a about Juana and Kino, two shadows attempting to make the journey across the Mexican-American border. Kino sees coyote tracks and gets Juana moving as they set out on their journey. Juana is disheartened but is comforted by Kino who keeps her pushing along. The film showcases just how many individuals in the United States demonize immigrants from the southern border, but also shows that they are humans like us.
